JOB SUMMARY:  The AVP, QA and Release Management, Digital Banking is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures that ensure applications and solutions meet expectations and deliver great customer experiences. This role leads the QA team, works closely with vendors, and oversees the integration testing, E2E testing, user acceptance testing, and in some capacity load, performance and Chaos testing. The AVP, QA and Release Management leads the Release Management stream across the Digital Banking group, ensuring there is a well communicated and adhered to Release Schedule and Operating Model to drive standardization and discipline of Release Management across all development teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, implements, enforces, and improves quality standards, tools, and methods to assure quality across new and existing products and services
  • Implement an organization wide test planning framework, defect management remediation process, and own overall test data strategy
  • Partner with the Product Development team to ensure test cases written and executed are aligned with business objectives/strategies
  • Engage in the Agile Methodology ceremonies/sprints to inform appropriate data quality and testing considerations as part of acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with Scrum masters, Engineering, and Product leaders and Development team to ensure delivery of high-quality features
  • Design, roll out, and drive adoption of QA and test automation practices, working closely with the PMO to ensure the release schedules and cadences are clearly laid out and communicated
  • Own and manage the Bank’s test environments by partnering closely with DevOps/Platform Engineering team in integrating QA automation into the CI/CD pipelines; test automations and ensuring integrity of the environment
  • Be a change agent in the transformation to building, inspiring, and guiding quality engineering practices.
  • Manage and promotes good working relationships across cross-functional teams
  • Work with cross-department leadership to delivery high quality products and services on schedule
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Supervise assigned employees by organizing and monitoring work progress
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Manage performance of employees through development, coaching, and counseling
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field required
  • 8+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience in testing automation as well as manual testing required
  • Minimum of 3 years in a managerial role required
  • 5+ years of experience working with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies required
  • 5+ years of experience planning and executing end to end testing of integrated systems including validation of the integration layer and experience working with SaaS products/vendors in QA function required
  • 5 + years of experience with API testing to ensure functionality, reliability, performance, and security required
  • Demonstrated ability in the creation of quality standards, tools, and methodologies
  • Expertise in performing different types of Testing: Black box, GUI, Integration, Regression, Backend, System, End-to-End, Load, Performance, Chaos, and User Acceptance Testing preferred
  • Experience of DevOps in CI/CD and setting up of test environments preferred
  • Robust analytical skills for both existing processes and identifying areas of opportunity
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong communication skills and able to work cross-functionally

The pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. $160,000 (entry level qualifications) to $180,000 (highly experienced).
